This product is also named Flushing Case Thermometer, Coinciding with GB / T 8927 and ISO 4268 <Measurement Rules of Petroleum and Petroleum Liquids-Petroleum Products Temperatures.
It is used for manual determination of all temperature ratings of bulk petroleum products and other liquid chemicals in storage tanks

The case consists of a cylindrical chamber having a capacity of at least 200 ml, and a protective tube for a thermometer, rigidly attached to the chamber. Cases and tubes are not made of aluminum or its alloys. A thermometer is attached to the case so that the bottom of the bulb is approximately 25mm above the bottom of the case.

These chambers are made of suitable thickening materials (Stainless Steel or Brass) which are fully resistant to petroleum products. It has quick closures on the top and bottom which are in the open position, ensuring free passage for liquid flow through the chamber and across the bulb of the thermometer. In the closed position, the closure ensures full liquid retention.
This device is designed so that closure can be controlled by the curvature of the suspension cord or by some suitable remote control device. The device is such a material and construction that no more than a specified holding period will be required to determine the temperature of any petroleum oil.

Thermometer for Flushing Cases:

Because the stem of the thermometer is not immersed in oil when the reading is being taken, the thermometer used should be calibrated for partial immersion.

1. Prior to sampling, the controller needs to embed the thermometer in the Flushing Case Thermometer.
2. There is a bottom cage which acts as a one-way valve and prevents the sample from leaving the sampler during the raker's operation. Then the controller touches it to the destination and reads the result.
